Princess is a lovely young dog who was severely malnourished when she came into care. Despite her poor start in life she is a happy girl who is very attentive so the fact that she is deaf is not a major handicap. She plays very well with the other dogs at her foster home and although she is such a large dog her play, although often boisterous, never becomes aggressive.

Due to Princess being deaf she needs special understanding and patience when she is undergoing her basic training. Most deaf dogs very quickly learn via the hand signals of their much-loved owner. She is housetrained already and sleeps quietly by herself at night.

As Princess is still a boisterous young dog and also a very large one, it would be best if any children in her forever home are old enough to cope with a dog of this age and size. They also need to be old enough to understand and make allowances for her deafness.

Princess would love to have another medium to large dog for companionship, especially when her family is not home. She is not suitable however for a home where there is a cat or other pocket pets.

Great Danes are known to be gentle giants and Princess is no exception. She really deserves a family of her very own where she can feel secure and well cared for at long last. Her foster carer says “this beautiful girl only needs time and training to be the perfect companion”.
Princess is in foster care at Bobs Farm, NSW and is eager and waiting to meet her new family.
