Hi there! My name is Beau and I would really love a home and family of my own. While I am waiting I spend my days romping around with the other dogs in my foster home and snuggling up with my foster family humans at night. I really do love children if they are a little older and kind and gentle with me so I can feel safe with them. Walks are just great and I very quickly learned to be on my best behaviour when I am on my lead. That way my walks are fun for everyone and with a bit of luck I get to walk a little longer than I would if I wasn’t such a good boy.

My coat hasn’t been looked after in the past so I was a sorry sight when I arrived at my foster home. Now my foster family is taking very good care of me, which means regular brush and comb sessions. I am not happy about this but as they are very gentle when grooming me I am gradually getting used to it. Oh, what us long coated dogs have to put up with! My coat could be clipped over the summer to make the job a little easier for everyone, including me!

All I want in my forever home is a family that loves me so I can give them all my love and affection in return. And, I nearly forgot, I really need another small dog to play with and to keep me company when my family can’t be home.

My lovely foster carer says this about me “He’s a treasure to have in our home and deserves a special family of his very own”. I couldn’t have put it better myself.

Beau is a little man who has had a bad deal and lack of any direction in the past. To help him overcome his fears he needs no nonsense training, sensible guidance and plenty of exercise in his new life. With loving, firm and consistent boundaries Beau will gain confidence and have what he needs to become the wonderful little companion dog he was always destined to be.

Beau is in foster care at Blue Haven, NSW; Date of Birth: 29/07/13
