Rusty is a young wiry coat Jack Russell who is full of life, character and energy. He is still very puppy like in his behaviour at times. He loves to run, play with his toys and enjoys the company of most easygoing dogs, especially if they have the stamina to keep up with him.

Being a young dog, Rusty will benefit greatly from ongoing training. Although he does know some basic commands already and is house trained he will require consistent boundaries. Rusty is best suited to an active family without young children as he is quite excitable at times. A family with children over 12 years is highly recommended.

Daily walks or jogging would be ideal for Rusty. A large secure yard and an understanding, loving family would see this little man in his element. Rusty would cope being an only dog but he will require plenty of activity, lots of playtime with his human family and regular social interaction with other suitable dogs.

Rusty has an easy maintained coat that doesn’t require too much attention, just the occasional brush to keep his coat tangle free and tidy.

Rusty is still a young dog and will quickly learn to fit in with his new family’s way of life. He can’t wait to have a family of his very own and very much deserves a second chance in life.

At present Rusty is in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 29/03/2012

  • Nova and our animals for adoption are located from Sydney to Newcastle area and along the coast between these cities. Our dogs will NOT be rehomed without undergoing a meet and greet between both parties.
  • Our adoption process commences with completing an enquiry form.
  • All enquiries will be via this form and general email questions will not be responded to without a completed enquiry form being submitted.
  • Your enquiry is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check arranged. All going well, a discussion with the carer will be arranged when a meet and greet can be organised. If the meet and greet is successful a 14 day trial period is entered into.
  • When the trial period is complete the pooch is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
  • Our Facebook & Google+ page have daily updates and further images of the adoptees.
  • Nova Pooch Rescue Inc. is wholly operated by volunteers who already work long hours so, please be advised that there is NO phone contact available.
