Brinlee is a gorgeous little girl who was petrified in the dog pound environment, and who wouldn’t be! However now she is settling into her new surrounds in foster care she has proven herself to be a very sweet, gentle, playful, loving girl that just needs stability and reassurance from her human family. Brinlee is very obedient and will stop immediately in her tracks when commanded. Combined with her eagerness to please Brinlee shows great potential for further training.
Brinlee gets along well with most other dogs, but will require a few days to settle in and begin to feel confident enough to interact closely and initiate play with them. She is quite playful whether on her own with her toys or with her human and four legged family members. Therefore she is well suited to a home with another doggie companion or as an only dog with plenty of human interaction.
Brinlee enjoys walks but does get a little nervous on her lead initially and then settles once she starts to gain a little confidence and feels safe that her human is by her side and is not going to leave her on her own. Brinlee has displayed similar anxiety when going on car trips; she enjoys a drive but will be a little anxious about where she is going. She brightens up when she realises she is not going to be left at the local pound again. So this precious lady is more than happy to be a homebody until she feels safe and confident within her new family. Short walks are a great way for Brinlee to get accustomed to her new surrounds and to help her get to know she is not going to be abandoned again..
Brinley has a medium care coat that will require regular brushing every few days to keep it tangle free and tidy.
It is essential that Brinlee’s new family be understanding of her anxiety and supportive of her needs, especially in the initial stages of her adoption. In return Brinlee will give a lifetime of love and loyalty and this sweet little girl has an abundance of love to give. Brinlee is in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 26/09/2010
