Abby is a sweet, mature age Beagle who was recently saved from a NSW puppy farm, along with several other dogs. She is a beautiful soul who is looking for a caring family to live out her retirement years with; somewhere she can feel loved, cherished and pampered; all the things that Abby probably hasn’t had in her lifetime but certainly deserves.

Being a mature lady Abby loves her sleep, whether it is indoors in a warm soft bed or basking out in the sunshine, she will happily doze the morning away. Abby also loves her food. However it is essential that she not be allowed to over indulge, as she does need to lose a couple more kilos to take some pressure off her stiff ageing joints.

She may be an older lady but Abby has been known to have a bit of a play with her far younger and much smaller canine foster siblings… on a daily basis!! Therefore it is preferred that Abby have another canine companion. After all, she has spent her life around other dogs, even if it was purely for breeding purposes. She does appear to enjoy canine company and she is not one to discriminate on size, as her doggie playmates have all been far smaller in size than herself and such good fun to play with.

Ideally Abby would be best suited to an older, retired person who is looking for a loyal companion to share their life and their home. Abby is housetrained and has an easy care coat. She isn’t enthusiastic about walks, but can be coaxed into the occasional short stroll as it is a great opportunity for her to stop and observe everything around her and enjoy all the lovely sounds and smells.

Abby really deserves a very special forever home of her own for the first time in her life. If you think she may be the special companion you have been looking for she is waiting to meet you while in foster care at Metford, NSW.
