Kaylah is a beautiful, young, small Maltese Shih Tzu cross who is looking for a very special and understanding person to share her life with. Kaylah bonds very quickly with her favourite person and isn’t keen on sharing their love and attention with other dogs, although she does tolerate other small dogs as long as she gets plenty of attention. Therefore she would be best suited to a home where she is an only dog where she can lap up all the attention. Alternatively, a home with another small easygoing male dog would also be suitable if there is one already in residence.

Kaylah hasn’t had much luck in her former life and has had a difficult time since being collected off the streets and landing in the dog pound. She was highly stressed in the pound environment and so displayed some undesirable behaviours. Since coming into foster care, she has shown no signs of those behaviours. As a precaution, Kaylah will be looking for a home where there are no children, a quiet, calm household where she can relax with her human companion and feel at ease and be reasonably stress free.

Kaylah loves to spend time with her human, whether they are watching television, sitting reading or pottering around doing chores. Kaylah enjoys being part of every aspect of her special person’s life. Car rides can be a bit stressful for Kaylah and she is still gaining confidence on lead. Who knows what happened in her past to make her fearful of these things?

Kaylah is not one for a big social life, she will bark at strangers and at anything that seems amiss, therefore she would make the ideal companion for someone who is looking for a furry friend to fill the loneliness of a quiet life. If you are a young retiree, have a part time job or work from home then this young girl could be the one for you.

Kaylah may have a dislike for veterinarians, feel uneasy with grooming and most strangers, but she has a truly beautiful and loving heart, and wants nothing more than to love and be loved ‘warts and all’. If you have the love, patience, understanding and compassion to help Kaylah overcome her stressful past, then why not meet this precious little lady. She is waiting for you at Metford, NSW.
