Calliopi is a 7-year-old Toy Poodle X who needs a very special and understanding person to spend her life with. Calliopi needs a socially quiet female who doesn’t have children or frequent visitors in the home as Calliopi struggles to welcome them. In fact she can be a little rude to them at times.
To add to Calliopi’s challenges, she has also had a seizure after coming into foster care; however she has not required medication as it has been a one off so far. It is essential she continues to be monitored for any further seizure activity and further veterinary advise sought should the need arise.
It is also essential that Calliopi has another canine companion in the home as she suffers from separation anxiety when her human isn’t around. The company of another little dog lessens this. Calliopi gets on well with all the dogs she has met in foster care as long as they aren’t too overbearing; she has also been known to play chase, tug and wrestle with her canine foster friends so another canine companion would also suit her social and play needs.
This beautiful girl may struggle with strangers but she is the most affectionate, loving girl who bonds very quickly to one lady and has an abundance of love to give. Calliopi will need a very understanding but consistent lady adopter who will provide her with firm boundaries and is committed to guiding her where needed.
Calliopi walks very well on lead, loves going for drives and most of all spending as much time with her human mum as possible, curled up on the lounge (or bed if allowed), at your feet or pottering around as you go about your chores. Calliopi will always be close by your side. She has a high maintenance coat that requires regular grooming and clipping to keep it clean and tidy.
Calliopi is currently in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 04/04/2008
