Max is a tiny and adorable 2 year old Fox Terrier x Chihuahua who is very shy and timid but loves to be carried around and cuddled by his human family once he gets to know them. Max copes with other small dogs well as long as they aren’t too intimidating and overwhelming but he really needs the more protective, mothering type of canine companion.
Max was surrendered with his friend Princess with whom he has spent all of his young life. Therefore it is essential Max has another small, self-assured yet calm canine companion to draw confidence from and provide him with companionship and socialisation.
Max will require a calm, quiet home without children as his past has been turbulent, distressing and somewhat abusive at the hands of a child. A home with children will not be considered for Max as it is not in his best interest.
Little Max has been quite reserved since coming into foster care where he has been living with a large pack of other dogs. However, there is a lot more to this little man than meets the eye and his foster carer believes that with a quieter environment and fewer dogs around Max will begin to show his real personality. As his confidence grows his sense of fun and adventure will start to come through. Already Max has started to play with a couple of his doggie foster friends and he will flourish even more in the right home.
Max has a low care, easy maintenance coat that requires minimal grooming. A bath and brush every now and then will keep him clean and tidy.
Max has had a very bad start to his young life and now needs a very special forever family where he can feel secure and loved to realise his potential to be a great little companion. He is currently in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 01/09/2013
