Coco Chanel is a happy and contented little senior dog, which is surprising considering the unfortunate hand she has been dealt in life so far. She was discarded in the dog pound, possibly due to her suffering from chronic dry eye, after being used as a breeding machine. 3 years and many vet visits later Coco Chanel’s eye condition can be managed with saline cleans a few times per day while occasional eye infections will require application of ointment.

Coco Chanel has very limited vision in her right eye and reduced vision in her left eye. However she is still able to see and have a normal life at this point in time. Her sight may deteriorate as she ages further but once settled in her own home this shouldn’t pose too many problems as dogs adjust quite well to limited sight and even blindness should it occur. Coco Chanel also has a yeasty skin type that is best controlled by feeding her a fresh, raw diet and bathing her regularly with a medicated shampoo.

Coco Chanel may be faced with a couple of challenges but it doesn’t stop her from enjoying life. Going out for drives, snuggling on her carer’s lap and going for walks are on Coco Chanel’s favourite things to do list. She is housetrained as long as she has access to the outdoors and gets along well with other small dogs. She is a versatile little lady who just needs love, care and pampering, like any other dog.

Coco Chanel has a high maintenance coat that requires regular grooming, brushing and bathing and her eyes will need constant attention otherwise they will become fused closed with discharge. So she will require a total commitment from her forever family.

If you think you have what it takes to give this special girl the one and only lucky break she has ever had in her life, you will be well rewarded with a devoted little companion who will love you for the rest of her days. Meanwhile she is in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 01/01/2006
