Luna came into foster care from the pound. She is an easy going and adorable girl who loves nothing more than to potter around next to her favourite human as they go about their daily tasks; or even better, sit and enjoy their company at every opportunity. She is a low energy dog that would prefer the comforts of home, but does enjoy a drive in the car, short walks and just generally lazing around with her family by her side.

Luna gets along very well with the small to medium dogs she has met and has been known to join in a game with the younger dogs if she is coaxed. However she would prefer to just relax and watch the world go by rather than join in the chaos of play.

Luna is well behaved, although she would benefit from continued basic training just to get a grasp on basic commands. She is not an excessive barker but won’t hesitate to alert you if she hears an unfamiliar sound or visitor at the door and she is quite well housetrained as long as she has access outdoors to do her business.

Given Luna’s easygoing temperament and laid back nature, she is looking for a calm home with any children to be gentle and caring with animals and over 12 years of age. She is not suited to a home with boisterous young children. It is essential Luna has another small, calm canine companion as she has always been used to having a little doggie friend by her side.

Luna was diagnosed with a sinus arrhythmia which requires no intervention; it means that her heart changes rhythm at different stages of breathing and poses no problem for Luna as she is a healthy dog.

Luna has a beautiful high maintenance coat that will require regular grooming, daily brushing and attention to prevent tangles and keep her coat looking clean and tidy. As she had some flea allergy dermatitis on her rump when she arrived at the pound it is recommended a gentle, medicated shampoo be used on her skin for a couple of months.

If you would like to meet this sweet little girl, she is currently in care at Charlestown, NSW; Date of Birth: 01/12/2010
