Alex, unlike his little bonded friend Carina, is quite confident and more robust in personality and size. He is a loving and affectionate little man.

Alex’s favourite things in life are the love of food, cuddles, playing and wrestling with Carina and the other small dogs at his foster home. He is good on car trips, and he enjoys playing with people but can be a bit mouthy, very much like a puppy at play.

As a bonded pair with Carina, Alex too requires a home with calm older teenage children if any children at all. Alex toileting is quite good, as long as he access to the outdoors to do his business.

Alex has a couple of little quirks of his own. When he is over excited he has a tendency to snort and his air intake is a little noisier than it is in most dogs. Veterinary investigation has discovered that Alex has a unique tongue curl along with an elongated soft palate. This combined with a sensitive trachea can make his breathing sound unusual and also results in the occasional cough when he is excited. These irregularities pose no problem to his overall health and wellbeing and are common in some breeds of small dogs.

Alex is also sporting a shorter coat at the moment but if his hair is left to grow longer, he will require regular brushing and combing through to keep his coat tangle free, clean and looking its best.

Alex and Carina will make the perfect additions to most family situations as long as there are no boisterous young children or large dogs. They will fit in perfectly with an existing small canine or they would be ideal for the new dog owner looking to adopt a small pair of desirable canine companions.

Alex is currently in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 24/11/2010
