Teigan is a young Jack Russell Terrier X who just loves to be the centre of attention. She is an all-round sweet girl who loves to place chase and wrestle with the other foster dogs and at the end of play enjoys nothing more than to snuggle up with her favourite human.
Teigan came into care in the later stages of pregnancy. She went on to give birth to 4 little pups that she doted on, meticulously caring for her three surviving babies but always finding time for a game with her canine foster friends in between the duties of motherhood.
Teigan can be a little anxious of strangers initially. She will appear cautious and bark until she quickly gets to know that they are no threat to herself or her human family, so she is the ideal little ‘alarm dog’ who settles quickly. Then she will lap up all the pats she can get. Teigan has a tendency to be a little submissive especially if she thinks she may be displeasing her human. She is desperate to please her trusted person, which will make for ease of further training. Teigan also can be a little unsure of herself while outside of the familiar surrounds of home; however this can be easily overcome.
Among Teigan’s favourite things are food, affection and canine playtime, so it is essential she has another small playful canine companion to spend her life with. Teigan is not suited to be an only dog.
Teigan is still in the learning stages of housetraining but is achieving great results during the day if given access to the outdoors as needed. This little lady has an easy care coat that only requires brushing once a week to keep her well groomed.
With her endearing overbite, her affectionate personality and her love of fun, it’s very difficult not to love this little lady. If you would like to give little Teigan a wonderful new life in a loving and permanent home she is waiting to meet you. She is currently in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 19/01/2014
