Tarek was one of four pups born in foster care after his mum found herself in the pound. Sadly his sister didn’t survive the birth but the three healthy boys did. Tarek was considerably smaller than his brothers but he didn’t take long to catch up in size. He was the first to take to eating like a big puppy (puppy milk and solid foods).
Tarek loves everything puppies do, playing, running, exploring and creating mischief. He is a little more shy than his brothers, opting to play with his adult canine friends and brothers rather than focus too much on human attention, although he will come to his human when he wants to be spoilt with a cuddle or two.
Tarek may be the smallest of his littermates but he is most alert and vocal when someone startles him or enters a room unexpectedly. He will give out his ‘big puppy bark’ but settle quickly when he knows it is not an intruder or anything to be concerned about.
This little fella will give his family years of affection, loyalty and an abundance of laughs. As with all pups, Tarek will require consistent boundaries and training to assist him to become a model doggie citizen.
It is essential that Tarek have an older canine companion to spend his life with, to keep him company, to be a role model and provide him with adequate social skills.
Tarek has a smooth coat that will require minimal grooming, only the occasional wash and brush as required.
This delightful pup is currently in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 15/03/2016
