Eddie came into foster care with an unusual and slightly awkward looking way of walking. Despite x-rays and further investigations, there has been no firm diagnosis on what is causing this little man’s unusual gait. As we don’t know his past history, it is unclear whether it is something he was born with or due to a trauma in his early life. Whatever the case, Eddie remains an active, happy, playful little dog that loves life and all it has to offer.

Eddie loves to play with his the other dogs in his foster care home. He enjoys a game of chase, tug and even wrestles with them. So it is essential that Eddie has another small canine companion to spend his life with. Eddie gets along well with every small dog meets and he just adores people and all the attention they are willing to shower him with.

Although Eddie may walk may be a little unusual, he doesn’t let his affliction stop him from enjoying life. He walks well on lead and enjoys a stroll at every opportunity. Nevertheless it is advisable that he goes to a home with very few or no stairs. He also needs to be on a home prepared diet with added joint formula to preserve his current mobility and to help prevent premature deterioration of his joints.

Eddie is housetrained so needs ready access to the outdoors at all times. He has a high maintenance coat that requires regular grooming and clipping to keep it healthy and tangle free. Alternatively his coat can be kept short and easy to manage. Eddie isn’t a nuisance barker but he will occasionally make his presence known when among large amounts of unfamiliar dogs.

Eddie is an all-round happy and contented little dog that will make the ideal companion for most family situations. He is now looking for a permanent, loving home of his very own. If you think he would make a perfect addition to your family Eddie is waiting to meet you. He is currently in foster care at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 01/01/2011
